Family Loves Says Goodbye

With a tear in our eyes, a choke in our throats, a smile on or dials and love in our heart, we announce that October’s edition of Family Loves magazine will be the last. Just like Johnny Farnham, we’re going into retirement – but unlike Johnny boy, this really is it!

Over the past three years Family Loves has freaked some of the most sleaziest, outrageous and bogus features. We’ve put lame chat of celebs like Dr Karl, Sneaky Sound System, Chopper Read, and Dr Phil and partied with the likes of Tiesto, Dead Mau5, Pete Tong, Lyrics Born, and Mix Master Mike– not to mention a fruitful supply of sporting and TV stars that, for their own benefit, should not be named. We’ve had high times and low times and crossed boundaries that we never dreamed to experience… and we’ve done it all with cheek in our grins and respect in our words.

To cap off a ground-breaking three years Family Loves winds-up by paying homage to the season, spring, with theme of creation and rebirth. It is following the sentiment that we have pulled together October’s Family Loves.

On the creation side of things we spoke to Henryk Lobaczewski about life as a fashion photographer, and got the low-down on new designer markets Finders Keepers.

Speaking rebirth the Valley Fiesta gets a make over this month, with a theme in tow. We give you some ideas on how to rock it.

Sticking with rebirth, we chat to David, the owner of new vintage store Bang Doll Vintage at West End. Looking for some shmick one-of-a-kind recycled threads, check it out.

And just for the fun of it we’ve thrown in some funnies and some life lessons. Get all this plus more in October’s Family Loves.

With summer on our door step, Friday @ Family is REMIXED. Still three genres, still three rooms, now remixed, revamped, rewired! Get ready for big Electro House bombs in the main room; Trance and Prog in the POD & the smoothest RnB in the lounge. Bringing the new vibe to Fridays over October is Savage Pants, Masif feat. Steve Hill and Luca Antolini, Neon Essential featuring Ruby Rose and TV Rock and Hard Kandy feat. Organ Donors. Saturdays @ Family still slinks a sexy vibe this spring, with Stefano Noferini, Dolls in the House feat Anna Lunoe and Keli Hart plus the FTV Diamond Final, Christian Luke, Raye Antonellie, House of Ezi, James Curd, and Just Another House Party featuring René Amesz and Bass Weasel. Plus we’ve got Emily Williams and Steve Aoki in the house.

We’d like to thanks all the contributors, editors, graphic designers and musicians that have added to our magazine over the years – it’s been a hell of a ride.

Goodnight, farewell, we bid you adieu – and thanks for all the support.
